Dr. Matthew Peacock was born and raised in Whitby where he attended Henry Street High School. Matt graduated from Western University in 1991 with a Bachelor of Science and he graduated with honours from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in 1995. Matt has been married to his wife Joanne for 29 years and they have two grown children.
Dr. Peacock has been in practice for 29 years and has spent his entire career working with and caring for the residents of Durham Region. Matt prides himself on his community involvement. He has spent countless hours volunteering in the community with Big Brothers, Durham Region Health Council, Whitby Minor Hockey, Seniors Safety Coalition and most recently he has volunteered with the Whitby Chapter of Durham Region Hospice in support of their Capital Campaign and he currently holds a board member position on the Board of Directors for Lake Ridge Community Support Services.
In practice, Dr. Peacock believes in a multidisciplinary hands-on approach to the care and treatment of his patients. Matt uses individualized treatment plans and believes in patient directed care as a pathway to recovery. Dr. Peacock’s practice is family oriented with patients of all ages. He regularly treats patients suffering from sport injuries, motor vehicle accidents, workplace injuries, day to day strains and much more.
Dr. Talia was born and raised in Durham Region. She graduated with a bachelors degree in Kinesiology from York University in 2020 and graduated from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in 2024.
Growing up Talia was a competitive dancer for over 15 years. She also coached gymnastics for almost 10 years. In her spare time Talia enjoys staying active by lifting weights, hiking and enjoys spending time outdoors with her dog.
Dr. Talia's philosophy is simple, she wants to help you take charge of your health through a holistic evidence-based multidisciplinary approach. Her treatments involve chiropractic adjustments, soft tissue therapy for muscles, active care, and more. Talia prides herself on creating a positive and welcoming environment for patients and hopes to have a laugh with you in clinic soon!
Jodi has lived in Durham Region since 2007 when she moved here from her hometown of Kitchener, Ontario. Jodi has two children, two step children, a loving partner and a pooch named Snickers.
Jodi has spent her career in different management roles in the restaurant and retail industries up until she joined the team at WhitbyChiro 7 years ago. Jodi brings a wealth of customer service and business experience with her.
Jodi believes in community involvement and has helped facilitate the support of many local organizations/charities through different initiatives at the clinic. She has also spent time volunteering as a baseball coach, and has held various positions on a local sport associations board of directors.
Laurie has been an integral part of the WhitbyChiro team for over 15 years. Laurie was born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio and moved to Canada after meeting her husband on the beach in Florida. Laurie has been married to her husband, Steve for 47 years and together they have two grown children.
Laurie's favourite part of her 15 years with the WhitbyChiro team is the interactions with patients. She enjoys getting to know everyone's story and watching the young ones grow up.
Jeannine was born and raised in Scarborough. She moved to Durham Region in 1989. She is the proud mom of a 29 year old daughter and loving wife to her husband, Ward of 17 years.
Jeannine spent her entire 38 year career working in the Toronto Catholic School Board. After a brief attempt at retirement Jeannine decided to join the team at WhitbyChiro. She has been with us for 5 years and counting.
In Jeannine's free time she and her husband enjoy walking, bike riding and fostering kittens.
Dr. McConnell was born and raised in Whitby. After graduating from the Toronto Teachers’ College in 1970, he chose to continue his education at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College and graduated with the Award of Merit in 1975.
Dr. McConnell has practised in Whitby for forty years, save for a two-year hiatus in the 1980’s to travel and practice in Australia. He played junior lacrosse in Whitby and served many years on the executive of the Whitby Warriors Junior Lacrosse Club and the Brooklin Redmen Lacrosse Club. He has also coached minor lacrosse, hockey and soccer.
Dr. McConnell was instrumental in the formation of the Durham Region Chiropractic Society and served as the liaison with the Ontario Chiropractic Association. He practised solo for 20 years until he was fortunate to meet Dr. Matthew Peacock in 1995. Dr. McConnell and Dr. Matthew Peacock have been in practice ever since.
Over the years Dr. McConnell has seen an increased public awareness of the benefits of chiropractic care. He is encouraged by the extensive volume of research that now validates the chiropractic approach to health care. Dr. McConnell has continually upgraded his skills and knowledge over the years by attending countless courses throughout North America. Also, he continues to enjoy the privilege of helping patients to recover and return to activities of normal living.
